Today's post is a grab bag of interesting things that we have come across over the last few weeks... enjoy!
- @AdventureSome describes 10 Ways to Get More Adventure in Your Life. For whatever reason, hiking naked didn't seem to make the list... we'll have to ask him about that one.
- Nancy Sathre-Vogel wrote a great post on living your dream with your children. We couldn't agree more! Don't underestimate what your kids are capable of, and in 20 years find yourself, as Mark Twain said "...more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do."
- Speaking of children, for the men out there, this is a great post on 25 things every father must teach his daughter about life, including teaching your child to appreciate the outdoors. The Grass Stain Guru and the National Wildlife Federation see this as very important.
- Finding more time to spend adventuring in the outdoors with your kids may mean you need to look at ways to simplify your life. You may not go as far as moving into a 50 square foot trailer or piling your 9 children into an camper and surfing for several years, but hey... maybe you will... if you do let us know, we would love to hear about it!
- Lastly, if you are the twittering type, a couple of people you may be interested in following are @rdavidian for great hiking and backpacking info, and @DerekMarkham for the latest on enviornmental issues.

Thanks for the mention!
I'm glad you found my suggestions in my article about what we need to be teaching our daughters valuable enough to mention it here! I love the outdoors and I truly hope that I can instill that in my children.
That was a great list!
I couldn't help it, I know a great list when I see one ;-)
Great post! It's so important
Great post! It's so important to get kids outside and enjoying nature. The environment must be something more that what they worry about, but something they know and love on a personal level. Thanks for mentioning my new site, The Grass Stain Guru -- and the one I started -- NWF's Green Hour! :-)
Cheers- Bethe @balmeras
