We went for a short hike up Table Rock in Grafton Notch State Park today. It was cold and windy, but not nearly as cold and windy (and wet) as Hig and Erin's trek from Seattle to Alaska in 2007.
Next Monday (April 4th, 2011) we will be hosting a screening of their recently released documentry titled Journey on the Wild Coast. The film will be showing at Bates College in the Olin Arts Center at 7:30 pm. If you are in the area please join us! Admission is free but we will be accepting donations to help them cover production costs. Here is the film trailer:
And here are a few photos of our short, sweet, steep hike (not nearly as long or as cold or as wet, and no whales or seals)...

Just curious - what did you think of the film?
I love Grafton Notch. I know
I love Grafton Notch. I know it's not a big adventure compared to plenty of places you guys have hiked, but it holds a lot of memories for me. My parents used to take us up there at least once a year. One time we saw a military jet fly between the mountains, right in front of us! But most of the time it was a beautifully sunny afternoon where we enjoyed a picnic together. Great stuff.
