We have an ultra-cool ultra-light gear company in our own back yard. Hyperlite Mountain Gear (HMG) opened it's doors for business last summer, and they are already expanding their operations. They just moved into a larger space in one of the beautiful old mill buildings in Biddeford, ME - only about an hours drive from where we live.
A couple of weeks ago I sent Mike St. Pierre an email asking him if they had any larger shelter designs in the plans. He said they had a prototype they were working on and invited us down to take a look. I don't think he knew what he was getting himself into when he did that ;-) We thought we would take him up on the the offer before we left Maine... and showed-up with cameras, video cameras, and kids in tow.
It is with great pleasure that I present to you The F-lite of the HMG... (or something like that)
Thanks for the tour Mike! We look forward to seeing what you guys cook up over the coming months!
